Since the amendment to German weapon law, the discussion regarding Paragraph 42a, which regulates the carrying of knives in public, has become an everyday topic among those in the knife business. In particular, one-hand opening and adjustable jackknives are in focus of the law.
POHL FORCE has addressed this issue and developed the new Mike Fortytwo. It is a knife based on the popular Mike series that does without the one-hand opening as well as the blade-adaptation mechanism. When opened, the blade is held in position via a slip joint spring known commonly in the early 20th century as a gentleman pocket knife. Designer Dietmar Pohl consciously combines old school know-how elements with modern material and forms in the Mike Fortytwo. This has led to the first-time use of the new Nitro-B steel. A high-alloy chrome steel with a high nitrogen percentage, the knife stands out due to the resulting special hardness, edge retention and corrosion resistance. The G-10 or titanium handle is applied to the innovative structure of the new FORCE ONE-series and fits comfortably and securely in ones hand. The left or right -side mountable trouser clip and the Wolfram carbide glass breaker further increase the functionaliy of the Mike Fortytwo. The Mike Fortytwo is available in four attractive versions.
