POHL FORCE starts its new annual knife series with the Hornet XL Custom Edition 2009. The strictly limited knives are produced in a worldwide run of only 500 pieces and are marked with an individual serial number from 001/500 to 500/500. The series is based on a standard model from the POHL FORCE product range, which is customized according to our ideas and requirements. The Hornet XL by designer Spencer A. Reiter is the first model in this series. The special surface of the blade is a dual-satin finish. The scales are made of an olive-colored (O.D. Green) canvas composite material, which has also been sandblasted, giving the scales their distinctive look while increasing slip resistance. On the front of the blade is the Custom Edition 2009 special laser engraving, the SAR logo, and the individual serial number. On the back is the SAR hornet, the D2 steel note, and the Pohl Force logo, which is exclusive to the Custom Edition series on the back of the blade.
Special knives also deserve special equipment, so we have equipped the Hornet XL Custom Edition 2009 additionally with a lanyard from Wilson Tactical. Of course in the colors olive and black, so that it matches the color of the handle and the screws. Exclusively for this special series, we have equipped the knife with a Kydex sheath from the holster manufacturer Höppner & Schuhmann, which fits on any belt, horizontally or vertically, via a Tek-Lok adapter from Blade Tech. The whole set is attractively presented in a specially designed collector's pouch, which is also in olive/black to match the other equipment. A beautifully embroidered special patch with Velcro back, also limited to only 500 pieces, completes the Hornet XL Custom Edition 2009 annual knife. The final inspection of each knife is done in Germany by the managing director Dietmar Pohl personally and is certified by the enclosed inspection certificate.
